Congratulations to our very own Chris Jackson who last night was sworn in as Chief Municipal Court Judge of Rome by the Rome City Commission! Judge Jackson replaces outgoing Judge Bryan Johnson, who was recently elected to the Superior Court of Floyd County. This part-time position allows Chris to continue a full practice with MSP. Chris had this to say.
Being appointed by the City Commission to serve as Chief Judge is an honor and I look forward to continuing to build on the great work Judge Johnson has done for Rome.
Congratulations also to Judge John Scott Husser, pictured, who was also sworn in as assistant judge. Pictured left to right are Judge Husser, City Attorney Andy Davis, and Judge Jackson.

MSP has been voted Rome’s 2020 BEST law firm, an honor now held 4 consecutive years in a row! Thank you for the votes and your support!
MSP honors all those who lost their lives 19 years ago on 9/11 as a result of the terrorist attacks. We also are thankful and remember all of the firefighters, police officers, and front line workers who sacrificed themselves while rescuing victims from the terrible events.

We are saddened by the loss of Chattooga County Probate Court Judge Jon Payne. His many years on the bench were filled with a generosity of spirit and helpfulness reflective of his life as a public servant. Thank you, Judge Payne, for your long service to the community. To his friends and family, you have our deepest condolences.
