Rob Monroe recently settled another workers compensation claim against a local building contractor for $80,000. Rob’s client was an inspector for the contractor and was seriously injured in 2015 when he accidentally fell eight feet off of a ladder and through the roof of a building he was inspecting. Rob’s client suffered a fractured femur, upper arm, and shoulder, and was out of work for a number of weeks before making somewhat of a miraculous recovery and returning to a light duty. Even after the client returned to work, Rob was able to force the insurance company to continue to compensate him for his wage loss due to the injury. The building contractor eventually went out of business, which opened the door for a settlement of the claim.
This week we celebrate the retirement of MSP’s longtime bookkeeper/assistance administrator, Terry Podskoc. Terry joined MSP in 1999, but previously worked with Partner Mike McRae as far back as 1976! Terry’s keen attention to detail has kept the firm in compliance with the multitude of accounting rules and regulations over many years. She has been a remarkable, steady, trustworthy and loyal employee, and we will forever miss her smiling face and upbeat attitude. Thank you Terry!
